Maddie Monroe is a Producer at WZZM 13 ON YOUR SIDE.
Monroe has had a passion for journalism since she was young and has strived to write stories that have an impact on the community. She started her career working for her high school publication and fell in love with reporting on the lakeshore.
Monroe is a proud Spartan and graduated from Michigan State University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and media design.
Post-grad, she worked for a daily newspaper in Northeast Ohio, but returned to West Michigan to work for WZZM 13 in April of 2024.
Monroe grew up in Grand Haven and has been an avid watcher of WZZM her entire life. In her free time, she enjoys reading, skiing, watching MSU sports and enjoying Grand Haven’s beaches.
