GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grilled cheese connoisseurs are preparing for Grand Rapids' cheesiest festival—and they need your help to decide who takes home the win. The Grilled Cheese Festival is returning to Grand Rapids this weekend!
Festivalgoers can sample gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches from 12 different teams. Two awards will be given out—the Judge's Choice Award and the People's Choice Award.
While the festival is free to attend, there will be the option to purchase grilled cheese sandwiches and soup. There will also be food trucks and beer, wine and cider for purchase.
If you're looking for something to do while enjoying your grilled cheese, there will be live music from Jason Eller and the Jake and Jimmy Band. Kids can paint pumpkins, get a face painting and more.
The Grilled Cheese Festival is organized and hosted by The Cheese Lady, a gourmet cheese shop in Grand Rapids. The shop carries over 200 types of cheese as well as a selection of beer and wine.
The Grilled Cheese Festival is Sunday, Oct. 13 from noon to 4 p.m. It's being held at Fuller Park. You can learn more or sign up to be a competitor here.
