Grant Me Hope: Kevin

Meet a 12-Year-Old who is outgoing and loves video games.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Kevin likes playing video games so much that he wants to share his exploits with others.

“He likes to talk about games he plays,” says his worker. Like a lot of young boys, Kevin enjoys the action games the best. His worker calls Kevin “a very smart young man” who’s generally pretty happy. In addition to video games, Kevin enjoys playing basketball and riding bikes. Kevin dreams of spending quality time with his future forever family and especially wants to have family game nights.

His worker calls Kevin a “very loving and outgoing child.” Kevin does best with consistency and structure. He could use support for his school work and classroom participation. Kevin says his favorite subject in school is math.

Kevin would do best with two experienced parents who can give him the one-on-one attention he needs to thrive. They must be strong advocates for the services that will help Kevin function at his best. They must be patient as Kevin adapts to his new environment. Kevin also would do best as the youngest child in the home. Finally, Kevin has expressed a preference for a family who has pets.
