West Michigan Woman's newest issue highlights women who are making a difference

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A new issue of West Michigan Woman has been released and it's time to get an inside look at it!

Kasie Smith, President & Publisher stopped by My West Michigan to talk about the February & March Issue featuring Tammy Born Huizenga. 

Tammy Born Huizenga owns and operates the Born Clinic in Grand Rapids. In her thirty-plus years of practice, Dr. Born Huizenga has worked toward the advancement of preventive medicine and promoting public awareness of patient choices in medical care. She has received numerous accolades, some from as high up as President George W. Bush and former Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, Tommy Thompson. 

Smith also talked about an upcoming event that will focus on the stories of West Michigan’s most influential women. 

The “Beyond the Fold” Wine Down happens on Feb. 20 at The Lit GRR from 5 until  7:30 p.m.  The ticket price is $40 and includes light appetizers and wine/beer.
