Hudsonville Ice Cream celebrating Grand Rapids' 169th birthday with free pints

Happy birthday Grand Rapids! It's time to bust out the ice cream.

Hudsonville Ice Cream celebrate 313 Day in Detroit this past year. They will be celebrating Grand Rapids 169th birthday May 2, 2019 downtown Grand Rapids in Rosa Parks Circle.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - I scream, you scream, we all scream for free Hudsonville Ice Cream! Especially when it's the City of Grand Rapids birthday!

Hudsonville says they'll be hosting an official birthday bash from 4 until 7 p.m. in Rosa Parks Circle on Thursday, May 2 for the city's sweet 169th. You can't have a birthday party without ice cream, right? 

The three-hour party will have something for everyone, including free pints of ice cream, games, raffles, a DJ and other fun activities. Mike from Mojo in the Morning will serve as the official event emcee, serving ice cream and mingling with guests who come downtown.

Founded on April 2, 1850, Grand Rapids was officially established by the city charter in May of that year. It’s the second-largest city in the state and is a hub for the arts, music, beer and more. Grand Rapids is among the top U.S. destinations to visit and it’s regularly listed among the best places to live, work and play.
