'More LOVE Collective' creates bracelets to raise funds for local food programs

A mother-daughter duo out of Grand Haven is on a mission to change the world one bracelet at a time. Here's how you can support them.

GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — The More LOVE Collective began with the intention of raising $200 for a friend in need. Now, it's grown into a thriving business helping members of the community one bracelet at a time.

Here is a link to purchase.

"Love is on my wrists, faith is on my wrists, community, and beads from all over the world," explained Nicole Fisher Draft, owner of More LOVE Collective.

These beads are made into bracelets that lift those around her in more ways than one.

"In the work I do with women and within the community I kept seeing the need of people that would just need a couple of hundred dollars, and I was like how can I create a fund just to help people in need? I have always loved making bracelets, and I decided to make 15 bracelets that night and sell them on my social media. My husband and I were laying in bed watching TV and my Venmo was blowing up with purchases," said Nicole.

This resulted in her recruiting her business-driven daughter to buy more beads and create enough bracelets to fill all the orders. By the end of the month, they ended up making $4,000, quickly turning this mother-daughter duo into a powerhouse pair.

"I can't believe the support and love for these 15 little bracelets, but it wasn't the bracelets, it was the mission and love behind it."

Each bracelet is made with its own specific meaning, with 50% of its proceeds going back to those in the community, all with one clear message.

"The grand theme is more love, just giving that love back. I lost my dad a few years ago and my dad was unconditional love. He was just an amazing human being and he taught me about giving back and now I always just kind of joke that I'm giving love with dollar signs," Nicole said. "Like here, let me bless you with some abundance and love from these bracelets."

Gifting the money to everyone from large organizations to individuals in need, More LOVE Collective is leaving its mark.

"We've been able to give over $20,000 to West Michigan foundations, but even when I say West Michigan, it's went outside of Michigan. All I know is I have seen the goodness and the love that these bracelets have brought the people, but also myself, my daughter, and the people we've just talked to along the way."

This month, Dancing with the Local Stars is partnering with More LOVE Collective for a bracelet called "Be Today's Sunshine". The message behind it is that we can personally choose to radiate sunshine through acts of love, support and giving back to the community. The proceeds will benefit the Dancing With the Local Stars fundraiser which donates all proceeds to local food pantries and programs.
