One Good Thing: Giffins player and girlfriend give senior dog a new home

Layla was looking for a new home for more than a year.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Meet Layla.  She's a 10 year old German Shepard who'd been at Whiskers Resort & Pet Spa for a full year after her original owner passed away.  But, she needed a new, permanent home.

BISSELL Pet Foundation put the word out.  And who come forward?  Grand Rapids Griffin player, Colin Campbell and his girlfriend, Ellen. They were looking for a senior dog to give a second chance to.  And Layla was ready.  My favorite part of this story: Layla went home with them just before the annual Griffin's "bring your dog" game.  And, yes... Layla showed up.

One Good Thing to Colin, Ellen and everyone who chooses to rescue a dog.
