CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Deer goes buck wild in Lansing lingerie store

The shop found the humor in it, even posting to Facebook saying, "A deer came for a bra fitting and did some major damage!"

LANSING, Mich. — Curvaceous Lingerie at 117 E César E. Chávez Ave in Lansing, Michigan had what they called an "unexpected visitor" on Saturday.

"It launched itself like a bullet through the door," said owner Lauren Palmer.

Security footage from the shop shows the deer crashing through the glass before proceeding to go "buck wild" in the store.

It's currently rutting season, during which time bucks will become more active and try to establish dominance in their territory. Palmer said she believes that contributed to why the deer smashed his way into her shop.

She said one of the workers in the store noticed the deer and that it appeared as though he had seen his own reflection in the door, causing him to charge. "It was very shocking," said Palmer.

While in the shop the deer broke a table, knocked down displays and ran into two dressing rooms shattering the mirrors.

"He was beating himself up," Palmer said.

Eventually, the deer found his way back to the front of the shop. First, he tried breaking through a window with no success before finding his way out the door.

Nobody was hurt during the incident. There were two employees and one customer in the store at the time, "which was lucky," said Palmer.

Palmer said there wasn't too much damage to the products themselves, however, the store did close for the rest of the day Saturday.

The shop didn't skip a beat by feeling down about the situation, "We're trying to make the best of it," said Palmer.

They found the humor in it, even posting to Facebook saying: "A deer came for a bra fitting and did some major damage! Everyone is ok but we will be closed the rest of the day."

The shop is usually closed on Sundays and Mondays, Palmer said they used that time to clean up and get ready to re-open at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

"We are super grateful for our neighbors and community members," said Palmer. She explained that within ten minutes people were showing up to assist the shop with brooms in hand.

The clean-up crew even patched up the front door, leaving behind some art and a message: "We fit every rack."
