GRAND RAPIDS - A Battle Creek woman has been arrested on charges she made threats against a witness in a federal criminal case.

The United States Attorney's office said Friday that Davi Sarah Bailey, 28, is scheduled to appear in Federal District Court in Grand Rapids on Tuesday for a preliminary examination.

Authorities have alleged that Bailey made threats to the sister of a victim of sex trafficking.

Bailey has a child with Michael Clayton, 33, of Battle Creek, who was found guilty last week after a federal trial on charges of sex trafficking a minor and producing child pornography involving three girls.

Clayton and another man were arrested in October after Battle Creek police learned that the victim, identified only as K.P., was one of three girls given drugs and forced to have sex.

Federal authorities also investigated and Clayton was indicted and convicted this month also on charges of conspiring to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The sister of one of the girls attended the trial to support the victim and authorities have alleged that Bailey made threats on Facebook to the sister because the victim testified against Clayton.

Bailey faces up to life in prison for making the threats.
