An Allegan County man accused of torturing his girlfriend by pouring acid on her was back in court Wednesday morning.
After reviewing evidence and testimony, the judge ordered a mental examination for Gregory Marsman, 53, putting the case on hold.

Investigators say he tackled his girlfriend when she returned to her home near Fennville two weeks ago, then poured swimming pool cleaner on her.
The victim escaped to a neighbor's home but not before sustaining injuries to her face, chest and stomach.
