Walker Police make arrest in March homicide at apartment complex

Officers went to the apartment after Erickson's parents called Walker Police to do a welfare check after not hearing from their son for days.

WALKER, Mich. — Walker Police posted an update to a homicide investigation to Facebook on Thursday. They said they made an arrest related to the March death of 39-year-old Timothy Erickson Jr.

Erickson had been shot. Officers found him in his apartment at The Orchards at Four Mile, located at 988 Four Mile Road NW, at 11:30 a.m. on March 23.

Officers went to the apartment after Erickson's parents called Walker Police to do a welfare check after not hearing from their son for days.

Police have now arrested 32-year-old Alexander Garcia in relation to Erickson's death. They said Garcia has been arraigned on charges of Open Murder and Weapons-Felony Firearm. He is being held with no bond.
