GRANDVILLE, Mich — The $10 million expansion of Calvin Christian High School (CCHS) in Grandville officially broke ground Tuesday morning.

The project will breathe new life into the school, which was founded 60 years ago. The project includes a 22,000-square-foot renovation, a science wing, student support services center, strength and conditioning facility and enhanced security.

The project is part of the "From Generation to the Next" campaign through Grandville Calvin Christian Schools (GCCS). The campaign is designed to reaffirm the district's "dedication to providing Christian education to all who seek it by fully financing its Squire Fund." The campaign also extends tuition assistance to students and families.

“We are grateful to God for the generosity of the GCCS community to support this project as we carry out our mission to equip students to serve and glorify God with their lives. By updating and upgrading the high school campus, we ensure that we will continue to offer a high-quality Christ-centered education for the next generations of students,” said Eric Burgess, Head of School for GCCS.

"I'm very excited, very excited for the kids, very excited for our staff to have this renovated space, but most importantly, excited for this community support that we've seen," Burgess said.
