Helen DeVos receives $1M donation for childhood cancer research

The donation was from the Beat NB foundation.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Helen DeVos Children's Hospital has some extra funds going towards their childhood cancer research program.

On Monday, the hospital accepted a $1 million donation from Beat NB foundation. The money will go towards Dr. Giselle Sholler's work in precision medicine and the innovative progress she and the Beat Childhood Cancer Research Consortium is making in treating children with neuroblastoma.

Dr. Sholler was joined by patients and families and representatives from the Beat NB foundation Monday afternoon for an official check presentation.
