Michigan Health Department issues no-contact advisory for Fish Creek in Carson City

The Mid-Michigan District Health Department says that they are currently responding to a spill of an unknown liquid.

CARSON CITY, Mich — The Mid-Michigan District Health Department (MMDHD) is warning residents of Carson City to avoid contact with Fish Creek in Montcalm County.

MMDHD issued a no-contact advisory at 10:45 a.m. Friday for Fish Creek from Carson City to the south in Montcalm County.

The health department said that their office is currently responding to a spill of an unknown liquid.

They are advising that people and animals avoid contact with Fish Creek.

The Michigan Department of Environment Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) is currently investigating the situation.
