GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Thanks to Robin Gibson and the Lowell Police Department, there's evidence of a heartwarming moment between local police officers and neighborhood kids.

The group was recorded playing basketball over the weekend.

According to the post, Officer Pete Thompson is showing off his "mad skills" on the court. Before joining the Grand Rapids force, Thompson worked as an officer in Lowell.

"Nice dunk Peter," the post read.

GRPD also shared the video, with a post reading, "We came upon these lil' ballers in the 800 block of Alexander over the weekend. They had just finished their youth led bible study in the front yard....literally! Ofc. Pete Thompson and Ofc. Rick Hebden want to thank the Gibson family and neighborhood for bringing these little angels into their lives."

Thank you, Officers Thompson and Hebden! Keep making a difference in the lives of West Michigan's youth.
