GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — The City of Grand Rapids is asking people to stay away from a home at the corner of 12th Street and Lincoln Avenue NW, after viewers contacted 13 ON YOUR SIDE with concerns about the property.

The home is a two-story, multi-home family with grey siding and pink shutters. But what neighbors notice most about the home as it currently stands is the wooden supports that are raising the home while a new foundation is being put in.

"It's a huge, huge house and it looks so dangerous, because it's all opened up where you can see underneath the house, and I thought if children are walking they could get in there and get killed or something," one neighbor said in a voicemail to 13 ON YOUR SIDE.

The construction site does not have any fencing around it preventing people from getting in, but city leaders say the home is one private property so people should be staying away from it.

A permit for the property was obtained in September. There is no expiration on that permit.
