Grattan Township crash leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

The crash is still under investigation by the KCSO Traffic Safety Unit.

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — One person died and two others were injured in a crash Saturday morning, deputies said. 

According to the Kent County Sheriff's Office, two cars collided around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Lake and 6 Mile Road NE. 

Deputies said preliminary information shows a red Chevrolet Impala was traveling westbound on 6 Mile Road NE and ran the stop sign at Lincoln Lake Avenue. The Impala then crashed into a Buick Enclave traveling northbound on Lincoln Lake Avenue, deputies said. 

The driver of the Impala, a 46-year-old woman from Belding, was pronounced dead, according to deputies. The driver of the Buick, a 54-year-old female, and the passenger, a 77-year-old female, were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, deputies said. 

The crash is still under investigation by the KCSO Traffic Safety Unit.
