Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says missing Port Sheldon Township man found safe

Terry Sims, 21, of Port Sheldon Township had left his adult foster home alone on foot around noon on Saturday, deputies said.

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said the missing 21-year-old man they were looking for on Saturday afternoon has been found safe. 

Terry Sims of Port Sheldon Township had left his adult foster home around Star Walk Lane alone on foot around noon on Saturday, deputies said. 

According to troopers, he was last known to have been walking in that area but hadn't been seen since he left. They said Sims had left home before and was often found near bodies of water. 

Sims is a Black man with short black hair and brown eyes. He's 5 foot 5 inches and 135 pounds. 

Deputies said he was believed to be wearing tan or brown plaid shorts and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.
