GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) -- Several areas of West Michigan are without power Thursday evening.  As of 8 pm, the outages were affecting more than 2,000 Consumers Energy customers.  The largest area without power in the Grand Rapids area is north of I-196, between College Avenue and Fuller Avenue, just south of Leonard.  There is also a large area south of Fulton Street, just east of US-131.  

There are also outages north of Rockford in Sparta, Algoma, and Courtland Townships that affect more than 700, customers.  An outage just south of Kent City is affecting 150 customers.
