What's Up This Weekend: Underwater Egg Hunts and Earth Day fun

From an underwater Easter Egg Hunt to Earth Day efforts, there is so much to do in West Michigan!

It's Tuesday, which means 13 ON YOUR SIDE is looking forward to the weekend with the help of Grand Rapids Kids.

With Easter this Sunday there are all kinds of holiday themed events -- but that is not all. Earth Day is just around the corner and there are plenty of great teaching opportunities for families as well.

You can take action to help this earth leading up to Earth day. The Wittenbach/Wege Agriscience and Environmental Center needs your help to remediate areas where the Red Pines were removed by spreading seeds and planting new trees. It's happening from 9 a.m. until noon at the Center on Vergennes Street in Lowell.

There is a long list of Easter egg hunts this weekend, but we want to share some of the really unique ones:

Holland Aquatic Center is hosting an underwater Easter egg hunt on Saturday. Their pools will be filled with hundreds of eggs for kids to redeem for goodies. Doors open at noon, the first hunt is at 1 p.m. Cost is $9.50 to participate, $8 for those not participating.

Kids ages 10 and under can participate in the 3rd annual Betty Ford Egg-Stravaganza on Saturday, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Kids can visit stations set up throughout the museum's exhibits to participate in fun learning activities and collect Easter eggs. The Easter Bunny will be there too!

This Saturday is your final chance to jump aboard the Bunny Train in Coopersville. The first train leaves the depot at 11 a.m. on Saturday and again at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.. Its a 90-minute fun-filled ride with the Easter Bunny and her musical friends. Tickets start at $18.
