RAVENNA, Mich. — A Muskegon County bar is closed until further notice after a fire on Saturday evening.

According to the Moorland Township Fire Department, crews were dispatched to Rum Runners in Ravenna around 11:15 p.m. on reports of smoke coming from the roof of the building.

The bar, located on East Apple Avenue, posted on Facebook and said everyone was out of the bar when the smoke started to show.

Additional crews were called in to fight the fire as well as the Muskegon County South End Tanker Task Force because the bar is located in a non-hydrated district, the department said.

The fire was brought under control but the building has smoke and heat damage throughout.

The department said the fire is currently under investigation.
