Muskegon superintendent to leave district at end of school year

Justin Jennings accepted a job in Ohio as the CEO for the Youngstown City School District.

MUSKEGON, Mich. - Muskegon Public Schools Superintendent Justin Jennings will leave the district for another job at the end of this school year.

Jennings recently accepted a job in Ohio as the CEO for the Youngstown City School District.

He was promoted to superintendent from within Muskegon schools in 2017.

According to Jennings, the position is similar to a state appointed "emergency manager" in Michigan.

Jennings will start his new job in Ohio on August 1.
