GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — More than 10,000 customers around Grand Rapids were without power Tuesday afternoon.
The Consumers Energy outage map shows large outages spanning from several blocks east of downtown to just west of Ada.
The outage was first reported around 12 p.m. Tuesday. Consumers Energy says they are actively working to restore power with an estimated restoration time of 1:30 p.m.
The energy utility company said an issue with equipment at a substation is the reason for the outage.
