The band left on Sunday, Nov. 19 and played in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday.

The Rockford Marching Band returned home Saturday morning, Nov. 25 from their whirlwind trip to New York City where they played in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Rockford's band was one of only 12 marching bands to play in this year's parade.

Friends and family welcomed them home outside of Rockford High School this morning.

The band left on Sunday, Nov. 19, and while on the trip they were spotted playing in Central Park and Grand Central Station.

What a awesome group of kids!!

As we prepare to leave New York a very special thank you and goodbye. Thank you Macy’s for allowing us to come here and represent our state and our great marching band.
