KENT COUNTY, Mich. (WZZM) - Consumers Energy is working to restore power to nearly 5,000 customers Saturday afternoon. The company says a squirrel got into a substation around 2:30pm Saturday and caused the outage.
The area impacted is north of Grand Rapids. Consumers Energy is hoping to have all power restored by 5pm Saturday.
