Should marijuana be legal in Michigan? Prop 1 discussion at GVSU

Organizers say attendees can learn about Proposal 1 and discuss the pros and cons of marijuana legalization with representatives from MI Legalize and Healthy & Productive Michigan.

ALLENDALE, Mich. - West Michiganders can be part of a conversation about recreational marijuana. The issue of whether to legalize recreational use of marijuana will be on the November ballot.

A panel discussion is happening at Grand Valley State University's Allendale campus on Wednesday, September 26th from 6 - 8 p.m. The panel will take place inside the Mary Idema Pew Library at 10582 S. Campus Drive.

Organizers say attendees can learn about Proposal 1 and discuss the pros and cons of marijuana legalization with representatives from MI Legalize and Healthy & Productive Michigan.

Panelists include:

  • Scott Greenlee, Healthy and Productive MI
  • Dr. Jina Lee, GVSU Criminal Justice Department
  • Dr. Glenn Valdez, GVSU Psychology Department
