(WZZM) - Griffins hockey season opens Friday in Grand Rapids, and the ice is ready to go thanks to Griff and Finn.
Crews at Van Andel Arena got an extra hand from the mascots while preparing the ice for the 7 p.m. game against the Lake Erie Monsters. This is the first season in nearly ten years when both the first and final games of the season will be at home.
Last year was one of the best years yet for Griffins hockey attendance, and this year is expected to be just as successful. Tickets are still available at www.griffinshockey.com.
