GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A lifelong Michigander, Steven Bohner graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in telecommunications.
He grew up in Metro Detroit and moved to Grand Rapids after college to pursue a career in radio. Getting his start as a production assistant for a radio cluster in the city, he quickly moved into the world of morning radio.
During his decade plus at Townsquare Media Grand Rapids, he produced several morning radio shows. He first was on the air with Barnaby and Friends, followed by working as the local producer for Kidd Kraddick in the Morning.
After finishing his time with Kidd Kraddick, Steven became the Digital Managing Editor for the radio cluster's five digital properties. During his time working in the digital realm, Steven helped launch new websites for the cluster's stations and grew the audience on the sites and
After working as the Digital Managing Editor for a little over a year, the call came to move back to morning radio as the producer of the Connie and Curtis show, later becoming the Connie and Fish show.
After Connie Kellie's death in 2021, the remaining cast of the show went their separate ways and Steven made the move from radio to television.
Now, Steven creates engaging digital content on multiple 13 ON YOUR SIDE digital platforms. Steven also creates video content for the 13+ App on Roku and Fire TV.
