GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Even though it's a stressful time, it's important to take time to refresh, relax and pamper yourself. While you can’t go to the spa right now, you can still make the best of your situation by transforming a few ordinary kitchen ingredients into a soothing treat for your skin.
With help from the James Salon and Spa, Esthetician Emily shares a few tips and tricks for keeping your skin feeling happy and healthy amidst all the stress of COVID-19.
To create the perfect at home exfoliant you will need the following:
- 1 tbsp of brown sugar
- 4 tbsp of honey
- 2 tbsp of baking soda
- 3 tbsp of grapeseed oil
Combine these ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Once finished, apply to freshly cleansed skin and let sit for 10 minutes. Using a warm washcloth, gently remove the exfoliant from the skin to reveal fresh and radiant looking skin. Follow up the exfoliant with a serum, and sunscreen.
