Andy O’Riley from Positively Muskegon gives a rundown of all kinds of events coming to the area that you don’t want to miss!

February 1
Greater Muskegon Jaycees Snowfest.  Lot’s of outdoor fun in the heart of Downtown Muskegon.  From chili cook-offs to cornhole tournaments, Snowfest 2020 has something for everyone. We are so excited to introduce "Bowls & Brews" to this year's Snowfest 2020 lineup!  Over 20 breweries from all over the state of Michigan will be joining us at the Mercy Health Arena to offer tastings of their unique craft brews. We'll also be serving up local soup & chili from Muskegon's favorites.  Find more information at Jcimuskegon.org.

February 8
The White Lake Wanderland!  Both Whitehall and Montague invite you up to enjoy the fun of the beautiful and artful area!  S'mores down at the ice-skating rink, snowshoe races, fat tire bikes rides, a 5K, an ice fishing contest.  Things get underway at 11 a.m. and go on all over both towns and if you’ve ever been the White Lake Area for a festival you know they get it right.  Find more on the White Lake Chamber's Facebook page

February 15
Parkas and Plates at the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex.  It’s a great fundraiser and This is a new spin on our classic Dine and Glide event. Parkas and plates is an adventurous night for couples and friends who want to hit the lighted cross country ski trails or snowshoe trails, enjoy some amazing food and beverages and kick back to live acoustic music. It's the perfect Valentine's date night or just a fun night out with friends. here's how it all works: Your ticket includes a serving from each restaurant, two beverages on the trails and your trail pass. Rental skis or snowshoes are an $8 additional charge. Check out Msports.org for more information. 

February 28-29
Build Your Own Bobsled at the Double JJ!  Build a bobsled out of cardboard and duct tape and come on up for a great time.  It kicks off on Friday night with a pre-party with Yard Sale Underwear then Saturday we take to the tubing hill with everyone’s creation.  12 and under get a chance and then the adult division.  Fun prizes, outdoor beverage tents, stay and play packages for the waterpark or outdoor fun and more.  Visit Muskegonchannel.com for more details and rules!
