BACK TO SCHOOL | More West Michigan school districts are starting the new academic year Tuesday, whether it be online or in person. The largest district in the region, Grand Rapids Public Schools, will begin the year remotely. Other districts starting today include Lowell, Sparta, Wyoming, and Jenison. Here's a list of each school's back-to-school plan. 

CMU OUTBREAK | Central Michigan University has 54 confirmed COVID-19 cases linked to students returning to campus a week ago, bringing the total up to 79. After a party was broken up on Friday, the university says anyone who hosts or attends large parties could be fined or suspended. 

KENOSHA PROTESTS | Protesters and police in Kenosha, Wisconsin clashed again Monday over the shooting of Jacob Blake. Local authorities issued a curfew and the governor authorized the National Guard for support. The shooting was captured on cell phone video and police have not yet elaborated on the circumstances that led up to it.

RNC RECAP | The first night of the Republic National Convention offered praise for President Donald Trump's record and dire warnings if America chooses Joe Biden in November. Rep. Tim Scott, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, presidential son Donald Trump Jr. were some of the speakers at the RNC Monday night. 

FORECAST | Tuesday will feature morning showers and possible thunderstorms, followed by a mostly sunny, very warm, and humid afternoon. Get the full forecast here.
