ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. — Allegan County Central Dispatch will be sending a special "Be On the Lookout" (BOL) message for first responders and any other listeners on Christmas Eve about Santa Claus.

Per tradition, as Santa makes his way across West Michigan and to Allegan County, the broadcast will include a description of Santa and his trip across the rooftops.

The BOL will be made at 8:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve and say:

"Allegan Central Dispatch to all stations and units Please standby for a special announcement. At approximately 19:50 Doppler radar confirmed a red sleigh being pulled by eight tiny reindeer. Visible as only a single red light in the sky, the vehicle was last seen headed southbound from the North Pole and was rapidly approaching Allegan County. The lone occupant is an elderly white male, has white hair with significant white facial hair and wire-rimmed glasses. He was last seen landing on rooftops, entering homes through the chimney and is believed to be leaving presents for children on the nice list. No contact has been made, but believers have reported hearing him shout, 'Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.' Allegan Central's clear at 20-00."
