César E. Chávez honored with social justice march in Grand Rapids

The Committee to Honor César E. Chávez hosted the social justice event inviting students and community members to march from Cook Library to The Potter's House, in Grand Rapids.

Dozens marched in honor of César E. Chávez and social justice for those affected by DACA, on March 15.

"I have a lot of friends that are dreamers and I've become close with them over the years, and things like this help bring us a step closer to having them stay here permanently," said volunteer, Carlos Ceballos.

The Committee to Honor César E. Chávez hosted the social justice event inviting students and community members to march from Cook Library to The Potter's House, in Grand Rapids.

Chávez was born March 31, 1927 in Yuma, Arizona, and peacefully passed on April 23, 1993 in San Luis, Arizona. He was a leader in social justice and peace movements.
