SAUGATUCK, Mich. — Glamping is making its way to the Michigan lakeshore.
The Woods, a 45-acre luxury campground area, will open soon near Saugatuck and Douglas. It will be one of West Michigan's first glamping destinations, the Saugatuck Douglas Area Convention & Visitors Bureau says.
There will be 15 cabins, all with personal decks and panoramic clear roofs to take in the beauty of the surrounding woods, even while indoors.
While surrounded by trees, they're also just minutes away from downtown Saugatuck and Douglas.
“The Woods is more than a retreat from the stress of everyday life, our vision was to create a haven where our guests can acquire a cabin in the middle of the woods and connect with nature without sacrificing the comforts of a luxury retreat," said Founder & CEO of The Woods Luxury Camping, Jacqueline Petro.
To celebrate its grand opening, The Woods is offering a 10% off deal for early bookings. Their earliest opening at the time of publication is late May 2024.
