HOLLAND, Mich. — A 22-year-old man from Holland Twp. is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and reckless driving after a road rage incident late Tuesday night.

Ottawa County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene before midnight Tuesday on reports of two vehicles crashing into each other while driving on Adams Street near Black River Drive in Holland Twp.

Deputies found the two vehicles and the drivers. Authorities believe 22-year-old Jaren Sabala, driving a silver Lincoln sedan, got upset and intentionally rammed the other vehicle, a black Acura sedan, multiple times.

The 39-year-old woman inside the other car wasn't hurt.

Sabala initially rammed the rear end of the Acura once and then continued to ram into it while both cars were in motion heading westbound on Adams St, the sheriff's office said.

Both vehicles were damaged, but neither driver reported any injuries.

Sabala was arraigned Wednesday by video. He posted a $5,000 personal recognizance bond.
