LOWELL, Mich. — Lowell Middle School students were evacuated on Friday morning because of a threat made against the school.

A notification sent to parents said that the Lowell Police Department responded to "an anonymous threat of violence."

The middle school building was evacuated and the students were transported to Cherry Creek Elementary.

Police said that a teacher found a note, which prompted the evacuation. After the building was cleared, no real threat was found.
