WALKER, Mich. — A man accused of stealing a cat from a Walker pet store has been caught on camera, police say.

Authorities identified the accused thief Monday afternoon and said he told detectives the cat got away from him in the 700 block of Monroe near 6th Street Park.

He no longer has the cat, and you're asked to keep an eye out for the animal.

Police say Cole the cat, a white kitten with a gray stripe on his back, was recently adopted from the pet store. He was being kept at the shop before his new family came to pick him up.

Now Cole is gone and the Walker Police are asking for your help to #BringColeHomeForChristmas, they say.
