It's very likely that the 2-year-old Golden Retriever named Chesney will soon find her forever home after being featured on 13 ON YOUR SIDE's Adopt-A-Pet segment.

MUSKEGON, Mich. — Chesney, a 2-year-old Golden Retriever who was surrendered to Muskegon's Big Lake Humane Society, will soon have her forever home.

The sweet girl captured the hearts of many 13 ON YOUR SIDE viewers when she was featured on the Adopt-A-Pet segment this weekend

Not long after she was featured, more than 50 applications to take her home for the holidays.

The shelter took down her listing, and staff are now busy going through those applications to make sure she finds the best fit for her needs.

For the family that does get to take Chesney home, the shelter says they're making presents to give out to any animal adopted this month to open for their First Christmas, Hanukkah, Festivus or to open with them if they are still in the shelter for the holidays.

If you were one of the dozens of people looking to take home that sweet girl, the shelter is encouraging you to consider other adorable pups in need of a forever home, too.
