FINAL FOUR | Ferris State University's women's basketball team heads to NCAA DII tournament semifinals

ST JOSEPH, Mo. — The Ferris State University women's basketball team is heading to the Final Four of the NCAA Division II Basketball Championship.

The Bulldogs defeated the University of Tampa 60-53 in the Elite Eight Monday.

The women's team has taken down four opponents since the tournament kicked off earlier this month.

The FSU Bulldog's women's program was the No. 3 seed in their region, narrowly defeating rival Grand Valley State University 49-46 in the Sweet Sixteen to move on to St. Joseph, MO for the Elite Eight and Final Four.

The Bulldogs will take on the winner of Texas Woman's University and Daemen University on Wednesday at the St. Joseph Civic Center.

If Ferris State moves on to the finals, they will play on Friday, March 29.

The Ferris State men's basketball program is also still alive in the Men's NCAA Division II Basketball Championship. They take on Minnesota State University in Evansville, IN Tuesday at 7 p.m.
