Heading to the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit? Here's what you need to know

Downtown Detroit will be taken over by the NFL Draft from April 25 through April 27.

DETROIT — The NFL Draft is traveling to the Motor City for 2024. Downtown Detroit will be taken over by the Draft from April 25 through April 27.

The event is completely free and only requires registration through the NFL OnePass app or online at NFL.com/DraftAccess. You can learn more about registering here.

This is your complete guide to the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit.

When is the 2024 NFL Draft?

The Draft will take place over three days. Round 1 of the Draft will start at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 25. Rounds 2 and 3 will take place the following night on Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m. And then Rounds 4 through 7 will start on Saturday, April 27 at 12 p.m.

The NFL Draft Theater is open from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Where is the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit?

The NFL Draft will cover a large part of Detroit's downtown, including Hart Plaza, Campus Martius Park and several other streets and parks in the area. The NFL Draft Experience will be located in Hart Plaza and Campus Martius Park, with the NFL Draft Theater located next to the park.

The Corner Ballpark is a hub for youth activities at the NFL Draft and is an extension of the main Draft site.

Draft Day in the D will also have food, bars and events located throughout the NFL Draft Experience and beyond.

The 2024 NFL Draft will take place over many blocks in Detroit, but will be mostly concentrated near Hart Plaza and Campus Martius Park.

NFL Draft Experience

The NFL Draft Experience and Draft Theater takes place over Hart Plaza, Woodward Avenue, Campus Martius Park and One Campus Martius. The NFL Draft Experience is mostly located in and around Hart Plaza and the Draft Theater is located between Monroe and Bates Street, east of One Campus Martius.

Games

40-Yard Dash: Take on your friends and NFL players in a sprint to the finish. Run alongside your friends and NFL players on a giant LED wall.

Vertical Jump: Put your legs to the test and see how high your vertical jump is, just like in the NFL Scouting Combine.

Hail Mary: Think you got the arm of a NFL QB? Test your long-distance accuracy by throwing a bomb over defenders into a net.

Autograph Stage: Grab autographs from current NFL players as well as NFL Legends.

Bud Light Backyard Bar: There will be several Bud Light bars selling Bud Light products and offering photo opportunities.

Look Like A Pro: Photo opportunity to step inside a "uniformed body-cast mold bearing the insignia of your favorite NFL team."

Taste of Detroit: Enjoy over two dozen Detroit restaurants in a "taste of the town" tailgate that include a huge range of options including Eminem's Mom's Spaghetti.

Invisalign NFL Draft Photo Frames: Photo opportunities inside of jumbo photo frames.

Draft Stage: Visit a replica of the NFL Draft Stage and enjoy a photo opportunity being drafter as a #1 pick.

NFL Locker Room: Visit a replica NFL locker room and experience what it is like pregame inside a video tunnel.

Pro Football Hall of Fame Curated Exhibit: View Hall of Fame bronze busts of legendary NFL players and check out the NFC and AFC Championship trophies.

Corner Ballpark

The Corner Ballpark is a hub for youth activities at the NFL Draft and is an extension of the main Draft site at Hart Plaza and Campus Martius Park. You will need NFL OnePass to access the Corner Ballpark from April 25 through April 27. The hours are April 25 and 26 from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. and April 27 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Field Goal Challenge: Take your shot at trying to kick a field goal just like the pros.

Gear Up and Go: Kids can put on NFL equipment to look like a pro.

Play Football Field: Watch and learn about football and flag football from USA Football coaches and NFL players. Kids ages 6 to 14 can also participate in on-field clinics on a first-come first-served basis.

Food Trucks: Five food trucks will be on location serving food.

Draft Day in the D

Draft Day in the D is a free three-day party that takes place across Capitol Park, Beacon Park, Paradise Valley Beatrice Buck Park, Grand Circus Park and on a closed-off portion of Woodward Avenue between State Street and Witherell Street.

The hours for Draft Day in the D are April 25 and 26 from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. and April 27 from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Beers and Spirits: Bars throughout the Draft Day in the D area will be serving a variety of drinks.

Detroit Food Trucks: More than 35 food trucks will be located throughout the event area on a rotating schedule over the three days.

Local Shopping: More than 45 local vendors will be selling merchandise and food.

Music, Art and Entertainment: Over 60 local Detroit artists, musicians and entertainers will be performing. Interactive art displays will be located at Capitol Park.

Cigar Rolling: Paradise Valley at Randolph Street and Grand River Avenue will be home to a La Casa Cigar Lounge cigar rolling station on Thursday.

Cornhole and More: Beacon Park is hosting daily cornhole tournaments from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. There will also be food and drinks available at the park.
