MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — Northbound US-31 was closed at Russell Road (Exit #121) for three and a half hours for a crash on Saturday evening.

According to MDOT, the freeway closed around 7:30 p.m. and reopened around 11 p.m.

Michigan State Police posted on X and stated that Grand Rapids troopers were on the scene and it was a serious injury crash.

The van left the roadway and rolled several times, ejecting the woman driving. Deputies said she was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

A teen passenger was taken to a hospital by Aero Med, troopers said.

According to deputies, the other passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the driver of the pickup was not injured.
