Man dead after getting hit by police vehicle during attempted arrest in Kentwood

While troopers attempted to arrest a man who was wanted on several outstanding felony warrants, he ran.

KENTWOOD, Mich. — A man has passed away from his injuries after an attempted arrest in Kentwood, Michigan State Police Sixth District say

It happened around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday near 52nd and Eastern in the City of Kentwood. 

While troopers attempted to arrest a man who was wanted on several outstanding felony warrants, he ran. 

He was then hit by an unmarked fugitive team vehicle, police say.

The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, MSP shared an update later on Wednesday that the man had passed away from his injuries.
